Scuba Scene Ltd was set up in 2004 by Ian Angell a PADI course Director with over 18 years experience within the dive industry. In 2007 it purchased Dive Mobile a dive centre based in Blackford, Somerset and from there moved to Somerset's county town Taunton in 2008 where it exists today. It is the only 5 star IDC centre in the county.
Over the years, Scuba Scene has established itself as a friendly, local dive centre and water sports store in the heart of Somerset. We have some 100sq m of retail space, stocking a large range of diving and water sports equipment, as well as offering equipment servicing and repairs.
Over the years our diving club has gone from force to force. Now with more than 70 dive club members, we are regularly out diving and exploring the beautiful water of the UK.
Whether it's Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Canoeing, Snorkelling, Sailing or Swimming, make Scuba Scene your first place to look. Support your local dive centre and water sports retailer, and in return let us support you.
Ian Angell & The Scuba Scene Team
Whether it is Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Surfing, Sailing, Canoeing or Kayaking, we have an extensive range of products and services in store. We are your local, friendly store to help get you in the water.
Aqua Scene is our water sports section in Scuba Scene. We have a variety of water sports products from snorkelling equipment and wet suits, to buoyancy aids and Kayaks. If you’re wanting to make the most of Somerset’s location to the sea and inland waterways, we should be your point of reference.
At Scuba Scene in Somerset we also have an in house service centre where we service all makes and models of scuba diving regulators and equipment.
We are an IDEST test centre which means we can service a whole host of diving and surface air cylinders. We can also fill most air cylinders on site, including cylinders for air guns.
We pride ourselves at Scuba Scene for not only talking about scuba diving, but going scuba diving!! We are out most weekends, scuba diving in Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, as well as regular trips abroad to locations like the Egypt and Malta. Our aim is to ‘get people diving, and keep divers diving’. To make this even easier we have the Scuba Scene Club, which helps make diving more affordable and accessible to all.
