Our firm was formed in 2006 from the merger of two sole practices. We serve clients across Devon, the UK and overseas and our business continues to grow as a result of personal recommendations from our clients.
Steve has been based in Devon since leaving his native Swansea to study at Exeter University. He trained and qualified with an Exeter firm of Chartered Accountants and after a short period in the commercial world started his own practice in 1985. Many of our clients have been with Steve since the start and he is highly regarded for his down to earth approach to solving and dealing with business and accounting issues.
Adrian is a locally well-known Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor who has a wide range of experience in business and industry. He has worked for a large multi-national practice of Chartered Accountants and before joining Sheppard Rockey & Williams ran his own successful practice. Adrian’s areas of expertise include advising business start-ups, purchase and sales, business modelling and tax planning.
Juliet trained and qualified with a large multi-national firm of Chartered Accountants where she became a senior audit manager. She moved to become a finance manager in industry and, prior to joining Sheppard Rockey & Williams in 2009, ran her own small practice. Juliet’s experience covers statutory compliance and company secretarial work as well all aspects of accountancy practice.
After gaining a degree in Economics from the University of Bath, Andrea trained with a medium sized practice where she gained experience of a wide range of businesses. Andrea combines the skills of both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor in her dealing with clients.
Lesley trained with a large multi-national practice of Chartered Accountants and has worked with a wide range of businesses providing management accounting, bookkeeping and financial accounting services.
John heads up our tax compliance department and has considerable experience of dealing with tax investigation work. He has worked for HM Revenue and Customs and has also provided tax consultancy services for other accountancy practices.
As a result of in-house training over many years Chris has accumulated thousands of hours of experience over a whole range of Sage accounting systems. She is in charge of our Sage work and, with many years of experience in business, she is also able to assist clients with detailed bookkeeping issues.
Zoe has many years of experience helping small companies and sole traders with taxation and accounting compliance. She is a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
