Coleman Electrical Services Ltd (CES) was formed by Oliver Coleman in January 2005 as a domestic, commercial and industrial electrical contracting company. Oliver Coleman had previously been successfully employed as Design & Installation Contract Manager for a national electrical contracting company, undertaking the supervision of electrical installations to shops, hotels, private medical surgeries, banks and local government buildings.
Until 2006, CES mainly carried out electrical testing works and minor electrical installations with an approximate turnover of £250k. In 2006, Glen Hadley joined the company in a freelance role as Project Manager for major electrical refurbishment and installation projects. Prior to joining CES, Glen had spent 5 years as a Senior Electrical Contracts Manager.
Since 2006, the company has flourished within the commercial sector and turnover has risen to an expected £1.3m in 2009. The mainstay of this work has been with several major clients including Iceland Foods, Heritage Estate Agents, Air Cool Engineering, etc. The scope of works for these clients has varied in value from £350k for the complete installation of electrical services for a major client in the UK banking sector, to £45k for a smaller project at a new Iceland store in Ealing. In the domestic market, we have taken on a range of jobs from complete house re-wires, to the re-positioning of a plug socket.
Since July 2008, Glen has become a business partner within the company, thereby adding stability to the company’s long-term strategy. In addition, Alex Jones has recently joined the team as Procurement Manager in order to manage the major supplier-related aspects of the business winning process, along with maximising business potential. Alex has a background in account management and customer services, managing relationships with major commercial organisations alongside dealing with the needs of individual clients.
