Spraybake have been supplying spraybooths, servicing them and supplying filters for over 50 years.
Formed in the early 1960’s to manufacture car paint spraybooths, Spraybake was at the forefront of providing facilities to quickly dry vehicles sprayed using newly introduced durable polyurethane paint systems. Temperatures of up to 80
C could be achieved using a “Spraybake” and success quickly followed Spraybake’s innovative and imaginative approach to this new market as it developed.
By the end of the 1980’s Spraybake had become the UK’s leading manufacturer of spray and bake booths. Typically 8 to 10 booths a week were installed at this time.
A natural progression was to enter industrial markets and during the 1990’s Spraybake achieved even greater success with its diverse range of booths for painting aircraft, railway carriages, tracked vehicles and components amongst others. The customer base included blue chip names such as British Aerospace, Short Brothers, GKN and the Ministry of Defence.
Throughout its history, Spraybake has been known for its quality and reliability and these traits helped the business successfully complete significant major projects in places as diverse as Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, as well as car booth installations in United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan.
To date Spraybake has manufactured and installed over 6,500 booths. It is a testament to the longevity of a ‘Spraybake’ that 3,500 units are currently in use in car body repair shops throughout the UK.
Spraybake Service maintains a high proportion of Spraybake booths. We hold a comprehensive library of drawings, wiring diagrams and software programmes for every booth made by us. This facility gives us a unique knowledge and unparalleled faultfinding ability leading to rapid repairs and reduced downtime.
Spraybake is now firmly established as a supplier to the prestige manufacturing areas of the automotive industry with recent installations for Bentley Motors and Rolls Royce.
