The Walnut Tree Inn used to be known as The Blisworth Hotel until it underwent a period of refurbishment and reopened for business in May 2005. Now independently run by Donald and Bernie Turnbull, the inn offers comfortable hotel accommodation with 11 guest bedrooms, a well-stocked bar, and a restaurant providing a good selection of modern British cuisine as well as lighter meals and snacks.

We hold a small amount of toiletries, shaving equipment, hygiene products, sewing kits, puncture repair kits etc.
The service was good and brisk without ever feeling like we were being rushed and the pub offers a huge range of after-dinner drinks as well as more than 30 whiskys to help ease the digestion process.
Located in the Northamptonshire countryside near the village of Brafield-on-the-Green, the raceway’s 396 metre tarmac oval is ideal for Stock Car racing and some of the best BriSCA F1 and F2 meetings seen in recent years have been at Northampton. The track is also excellent for Banger racing, with several of the sport’s biggest teams and drivers making regular appearances throughout its long history.
With an investment of over £7.5m into the course and its facilities in the last three years, Towcester is a course with high aspirations for the future. Best of all, admission to the course is free (except Boxing Day and Easter Sunday).
You will learn to prepare and serve a variety of dishes as well as baking bread and making ice cream.

The company first opened a station at Blisworth in 1839. In 1842, a new "first class" station was planned. 'First Class' meant, ‘all trains would stop there’, Ford Lane, Blisworth became Station Road and the location of Blisworth station. Blisworth became a junction station when in 1845 a branch line on to Peterborough was completed via Northampton, and in 1866 a single-track, 4 mile branch line was built to Towcester with grand ideas to run onto South Wales. Starting as the Northampton and Banbury Junction Railway, this short branch was to become the SMJ.
