Andrew Samuel has lived and worked in East Sussex since 1996. Starting his career with Strutt & Parker in Lewes he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998 and moved to Charles Clark & Co, Heathfield, in 1999 for a six year spell before becoming a founder member of Samuel & Son. He has an Agricultural Honours Degree from Newcastle-upon-Tyne University, a Master of Science Degree from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, in Rural Estate Management and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Andrew sits on the Wealden District Council Planning Panel and is the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) Chairman for Sussex. Additionally he has extensive expertise in the development of renewable energy and is the current chair of The Southern Renewable Energy Forum advising a number of private equity firms, institutions and individual land owners.
Having moved to Sussex with Andrew in 1996, Michelle had a long spell with the NFU in Lewes, eventually managing this office and its move to Uckfield in 2003. After studying Business Studies at Staffordshire University she then completed a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Food Marketing at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. Despite having two young boys to look after, Michelle is actively involved in the day to day running of the business.
Rhiannon Rosser lives with her partner on their farm at Seaford Head where they have a flock of 1000 ewes and 150 cattle. Rhiannon studied French and History at Royal Holloway University of London, spending one year living and studying in Switzerland. Having worked for Moët Hennessy UK Ltd for 6 years in sales and marketing and subsequently logistics, she joined Samuel & Son in April 2008 to work on the property sales and lettings side of the business as well as being responsible for advertising and marketing. With two young children at home, Rhiannon is presently working part time concentrating on property marketing and the firm’s marketing and events.
