Zenith Canopy Structures was established in 2000 as a result of our research into various different market places including the education sector, pubs, hotels, restaurants, leisure, sports clubs and theme parks. Zenith Canopy Structures grew as a trading arm of Zenith Promotions and Marquee Hire which was formed as a partnership in 1990. Zenith Canopy Structures Ltd was subsequently registered as a company on November 1st 2004 to specialise in the sale, installation and maintenance of canopies for permanent and semi-permanent use. Zenith Promotions and Marquee Hire now operates as a trading arm of Zenith Canopy Structures Limited.
Mission Statement
At Zenith we are determined to be the first choice for well designed; Canopy Structures, Exhibition Stands and Marquees.
We aim to do this by offering good value, quality products combined with the best possible customer service.
Promoting personal development of our staff by creating an environment in which they can enjoy where and who they work with, encouraging them to grow with the company.
As a result our team will sell with enthusiasm, provide our customers with a personalised service that is second to none and install our products to the highest standard. This in turn will make Zenith a company that both staff and clients will be proud to be associated with in order to develop long term working relationships.
Ian started Zenith Promotions on July 1st 1990. Prior to that Ian worked as the Director of Sales and Hire for a marquee and structures company for 4 years. Ian has combined his experience in the marquee hire and structures industry with that of managing a pub and restaurant in Gloucestershire. Added to that, the six years Ian spent working for Castrol Oil in their motorsports department handling all Castrol’s involvement in motorcycle racing and rallycross was a good grounding for learning about publicity, promotions and the hospitality and exhibition industry.
Ian is also an author having written 2 novels, ‘Where Do I Belong?’ and ‘Unfinished Business’. He is currently working on a non-fiction story ‘Our Brother Mr President’.
After completing his degree in Mathematics at Portsmouth University in 1996 he joined full time as Operations Manager. In 2004 when Zenith Canopy Structures Limited was registered, he became a Director.
“We chose the Simplicity Series 6 glass canopy because of Zenith Canopy Structures’ presentation and the sample model they provided. This showed us the quality and robustness of the product. Furthermore, they are a well established company in the Berkshire area. We are very pleased with our glass veranda canopy. The service was smooth and stress free from start to finish. Speedy delivery and assembly. Professional, polite and friendly team. Top quality product which enhances our garden. Very happy with end result, first class service from Zenith Canopy Structures Ltd. Would highly recommend. Excellent job.”

Do I need Planning Permission?
For Schools, Colleges, Universities and Hospitals As a general rule you do not need Planning Permission for structures under 100m2 in size if you satisfy certain criteria. We will be pleased to advise you about full details of whether or not a development is permitted. If you require assistance with any planning permission issues we will be pleased to advise you and can get one of our planning consultants to quote accordingly. For Pubs, Hotels, Restaurants, Theme Parks and so on There are no hard and fast rules as to whether or not planning permission is required for our canopies, awnings or gazebos as they are not regarded as permanent structures. Each individual council generally have their own rules for planning requirements. We will be pleased to assist in applications for planning if it is required.
Yes. We can install the foundations using our own contractor. However, if you would prefer to do this yourself through your own contractor, we will supply you with the necessary foundation drawings with specifications for you to give to your preferred groundworks contractor. We are happy to liaise with them.
'We had an unused area in one of our quadrangles and wanted to provide our students with an outdoor covered area for eating and drinking. We had seen Zenith’s canopies at another school and liked the design and quality. After discussing the project with Zenith we decided to cover a 180sq/m area to one side of the quadrangle. We would like to thank Zenith for their professional conduct in the installation of our canopy. We will be recommending their company to other institutes’.
