Allied Financial Services Limited has two offices
Allied Financial Services Ltd was formed in 2005 in Wigan to provide financial services to Allied Insurance Services clients. Initially set up by Nick Wylie and the Managing Director of Allied Insurance Services Ltd, Alisdair Lindley, the company gave financial advice to individuals and companies with regard to life assurance, income protection, savings, investment, pension planning, retirement advice and employee benefits.
Part of Allied’s expansion has been due to mergers with other firms with a similar synergy. Platinum Financial Services and Whittall Smith & Associates were purchased in 2008. Its major acquisition happened in 2012 when we purchased IFA Ltd. based in Leeds. This company first started trading in 1984 and has changed its name a few times as the partners/directors changed. However the firm built up a loyal and well established client bank in that time.
Between the four financial planners they have over 80 years experience in the financial services industry and between them they have experience in advising individuals and corporations in planning for pensions, investment, savings, tax planning, trusts, employee benefits, employer benefits, private medical insurance, equity release, long term care and protection benefits. The company is working towards chartered status and will be authorised to give advice in niche areas.The firm’s aim is to remain whole of market.
The loyal support staff ensures the business runs smoothly and efficiently. With over 70 years experience between them they offer expert backing in fund management, compliance, administration and ensuring our clients are always treated fairly.
Having gained her university degree she joined an IFA firm in Liverpool in 1998. She joined Allied in 2006 and has become an integral part of the company. P.A. to the M.D. and responsible for accounts, management of the support staff, I.T. and client portfolio’s. She has a professional rapport with providers and clients backed up by a great knowledge and understanding of the industry.
Started in the financial services industry in 1988 with Royal Sun Alliance. In 1989 he joined General Accident and saw a number of mergers before joining our financial services company in 2005. Responsible for research on fund manager’s performance, provider’s products and providers service levels. He also manages the support staff at Leeds and prepares clients pension transfer reports. He also assists in compliance issues.
Started with Scottish Amicable(who are now Prudential) back in 1974. He worked his way up to Branch Manager based in East Anglia until Prudential re-organised the business. Having then worked for various Financial Advisers in the Ipswich area David moved back to his roots in Yorkshire in 2011 and joined Allied in 2012. Responsible for supporting the 2 financial planners in Leeds with research, reports and client liaison.
Janet joined Allied in July 2013 to initially cover for Joanne’s maternity leave at our Wigan office. However due to the growth in our business Janet has stayed on and become Derrick’s personal assistant as well as assisting Joanne with the accounts and remuneration statements. Janet is a very experienced personal assistant having carried out these duties for directors at Greenhalghs head office and Tote Betting Syndicate head office for over 24 years.
