Roger qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and has spent his career advising and serving owner-managed businesses.
A "lapsed" geochemist, he spent some time in the geological storage industry before opting for a career in accountancy. His accounting and auditing skills were honed at Reeves & Neylan in Sittingbourne before he joined Spokes & Company in Tonbridge in 1996. After two years he gave up auditing to specialised in tax work, setting up and managing a dedicated department to deal with tax and smaller businesses, as well as managing the firms IT though the transition from manual to computerised compliance work. Appointed a partner in 2002, he fronted the tax department for another two years at Spokes before the firm split up. Roger formed Arkadia in 2004.
Roger now specialises in tax planning for individuals and owner managed businesses, advising on start-ups, tax efficient remuneration strategies, accounting systems and compliance.
