What we can confirm is that Bill started the agency in 2003, following a 15 year marketing career spanning agency and client-side roles including spells at BP, the Avon group and in the public sector.
It was at multi-award winning, agit-creative B2B agency Birddog that Bill claims to have managed wide ranging direct marketing and brand development programmes for some of the UK’s best known IT and telecoms businesses. He also gained deeper insight into the meaning of ‘flying by the seat of your pants’, while helping drive the business of clients such as Cable and Wireless, Miele, ntl and Minolta.
Prior to all this, Bill somehow scraped a half decent degree in business, while nurturing an over-zealous enthusiasm for beer and late night snooker. In a turnaround for the books, he subsequently got a health kick – and attained the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Postgraduate Diploma, too.
