ABOUT QUINTON TYRES LIMITED

Quinton Tyres was established in June 2004 as a sister company to Global Remould Services. Global is a highly successful tyre casing and logistics company, and Stuart identified that the skills, knowledge and resources of Global could be utilised to offer an innovative range of services to the haulier. Quinton tyres started building relationships with local hauliers, and found that by listening to their needs we could tailor a service led approach that reduced their expenditure at the same time as providing a bespoke service that ensured added benefits for the customer.

The company grew quickly and moved from premises shared with Global to our own purpose built facilities in Dukinfield. Further success meant that both Global and Quinton outgrew their premises and the decision was taken in early 2009 to locate both businesses in a a single site.

Quinton Tyres' philosophy is to invest heavily in the training of their staff, and maintain a high level of professional development throughout their career with the company. We work closely with market leading training providers to ensure the training needs of our staff are met. Whether it's customer care, management skills or fitting car and truck tyres, we ensure that our staff have the best tyre related training available. It is this approach that contributed to the achievement of ISO 9001, a certification which reflects a long term commitment to our best resource: our people. Alongside this, the certification also ensures that we meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to the product.

Following an assessment by an independent body, Quinton tyres has been awarded ISO 9001 certification. This certification has only been achieved by about 5% of all UK businesses and this prestigious award is supported by the government and recognised in over 100 countries worldwide. Achieving this certification makes a positive statement to prospective customers about our level of system management and the importance we place on meeting our customers’ needs.

We are proud to state that all of our Tyre Technicians have achieved the Licence to Fit. This is an industry standard certified by City and Guilds and provided by Michelin Tyre plc. The courses include fitting and removal standards, vehicle inspections, customer care, tyres and the law, recognising wear and damage, tyre maintenance and health and safety. Quinton are committed to maintaining this high standard for all new recruits into the business.
