Welcome to Step By Step Montessori

Welcome to Step By Step Montessori which offers the benefit of a Montessori environment interlinked with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We operate from two sites; one is a fully airconditioned purpose built building in Mill Hill with its own playground and our other one is in two bright and spacious church halls in Edgware. Both sites are in the London Borough of Barnet. The classrooms have been equipped with a full range of Montessori materials to provide a rich learning environment for your child. We also have the use of the large gardens in the front of the church grounds.

A Montessori prepared environment allows children to act freely on their own initiative meeting their needs through individual spontaneous acts. The prepared environment of Montessori schools is very important for developing a child, as there is constant activity and movement. The prepared environment therefore acts as the Third Teacher. The material in the classroom provides a wide range of practical, sensorial, language, and mathematical experiences to respond to all developmental needs of the child.
