My family have been farming here in Somerset for generations and I’m a passionate hands on farmer, one who believes in the value of good British food which is why I decided to set up the Fussels Fine Food Company in 2005. Now I can share the fruits of my labour directly with you.
I believe in the joys and benefits of high quality simple food ingredients, the positive benefits of sustainable farming, and in helping people to connect with them, which is why I created my single cold pressed extra virgin oil. From sowing to cold pressing and bottling, I oversee everything here on the farm.
This is an amazing product that is a real alternative to olive oil and it comes from right here! It has 10 x the essential fatty acid Omega 3 versus olive oil, a terrific balance of Omegas 3 and 6, half the saturated fat of olive oil, it’s high in monounsaturated fats and is an excellent source of vitamin E. Oh yes, and it cooks to a higher temperature than olive oil, making it a much more versatile oil choice. From dressings to frying and roasting, Fussels single cold pressed extra virgin rapeseed oil will give you fantastic results.
Making it a more versatile cooking oil
The Fussels Kitchen is available for private hire. Whether it’s for your own social event, demo or pop up dinner, to record a vlog or marketing video, for product development or even to refine your food photography skills, our fully equipped kitchen is on hand.
The Kitchen is finished to a high spec, including a demo island where you and your guests can gather around, watch and work. It’s also a great space for filming, technical kit is provided but please get in touch to discuss specific requirements.
We provide the equipment and cookware to make it easy for you to turn up and get stuck in to what’s important. Just bring your ingredients and any specialist equipment needed, you can even order ingredients to be delivered to save the big trip to the supermarket. A full equipment list is available on request.
Fussels products are stocked in retailers all over the country. From your local farm shop or independent deli, to larger town stores. If you come across something we need to update, please get in touch!
On the other hand you and your family might just like to have a tour of the farm,( we've got trailer trips!) or to have a close up look at our tractors and combines. Anyway, whatever takes your fancy, we would love to see you. We are open from 10am to 4pm, although the last trailer trip will be around 3pm. Oh yes and it's free!
2018 is looking to be an exciting year for us here at Fussels Fine Foods. We are already booked into a number of shows starting with the Exeter Food Festival on May Day Bank Holiday Weekend. Despite the current weather being rather grim, we are really looking forward to engaging with our customers at these events. We continue to cover monthly Farmer's Markets, not forgetting the now famous Frome Independent.
