CarbZone is headquartered in Stockholm and operated by Tom and Ewa-Lena Hedrup. Both Tom and Ewa-Lena have themselves been overweight and lost weight by selecting diets with a lower carbohydrate content. They therfore decided to start producing and sell their own line of food with less carbohydrates and hydrogenated fats. In 2003, the first products hit the Swedish market.
Today CarbZone produces a number of revolutionary food products for the Swedish and UK markets, which are available in many grocery- and online stores nationwide under the brand LowCarb® and ProteinPlus
