Jackloc was originally founded in 2003 by two sisters, Emma Wells and Deborah Allbutt, following their father Derek Horne’s innovative design for the simple, yet effective new key-lockable window restrictor. Duly named after his grandson Jack, the product has gone on to become internationally renowned as the leading window restrictor that helps reduce the risk of falls from windows.
Now well into its second decade, the company has further developed and enhanced the original Jackloc concept into an award-winning range of window restrictor products that are rapidly being adopted by some of the world’s leading organisations. Not only designed in the UK, but engineered, manufactured and tested here too, the company’s strict quality assurance regime meets the demands and approval of the ISO 9001 standards.
Although the family-owned business continues to expand, its original vision and values remain unchanged with the overall goal of helping reduce the number of injuries and fatalities that are caused by falls from windows throughout the world.
