In 1995 we built our first website and the new media part of our business was born. We opened our Salisbury office in 1998 and have continuously grown since.

Our graphic design team supply a range of graphic design and branding services while in the area of digital media we design, build, market, host and support the websites of our clients. Some of our clients utilise our full range of services while others require only some of our offerings. We can work with you on one-off projects or work on a more long-term basis.
Moore-Wilson is a firm believer in taking a best-practice approach to accessibility, usability, Information Architecture and creative design. This is rooted in over 20 years of experience at the leading edge in the digital marketplace.
We believe that website design and development should be user-centred. In other words, your website should be built around the requirements of your users, rather than only reflecting the requirements of your business.
Our designers work closely with the Account Managers and then the developers to ensure that they deliver design concepts that work effectively with the Information Architecture. It’s also important that our designers produce fresh creative design work that truly meet the requirements of the brief. With a Covent Garden office dedicated to design and designers who have more than ten years of experience at Moore-Wilson, we are confident that our team deliver best-of-class results in both print and digital media.
We are an Agile development company. This means that we employ the methodologies of the well-regarded and proven Agile system of project planning and deployment.
We are firm believers in the importance of supporting a website post launch. Newly launched projects are given the option to begin a flexible support agreement with our dedicated team of training and support staff. Moore-Wilson’s support department have a keen interest in proactively maintaining and improving sites to maximise their potential and long-term success.
What questions to ask before choosing a hosting service provider
There are thousands upon thousands of hosting service providers out there, with costs ranging from next to nothing, to thousands of pounds per year. It’s essential for you to find a hosting provider so that your site is accessible during times of high traffic, and maintains high-level security to ensure protection from potential hackers, among other issues.
Voice searches are a conversation between a user and an intelligent personal assistant, such as Siri (Apple) or Alexa (Amazon), that help users complete real-time tasks, for example finding out cinema showing times or booking a table at your favourite restaurant. Once a question is asked, users don’t receive links like a normal google keyword search, they want a specific answer and sometimes, action.
In general, search phrases are going to be longer. When you search for something you may just type in the name of the product or service e.g. ‘Odeon Cinema’, whereas if you were to ask someone about the same subject you wouldn’t just say ‘Odeon Cinema’ – there would be more to it.
This might be the biggest change and focus of your search terms – including intent. If you had just searched ‘cinema’, it isn’t clear whether you’re talking in the context of where the closest one is, how to get there or what’s showing. Users will specify what they want from their search term. Therefore, you need to identify what intent phrases are relevant to your business and search term. Will users be looking for your location, what you do or for example, when you are open if you’re a shop owner. Remember:
As we’ve mentioned in our previous blog, consumers are using their phone for searches more over their desktops, and as a result of that Google will have a mobile-first index. In 2018, it is predicted that video consumption from handsets is going to grow and video consumption from desktops is going to fall. Therefore, we would suggest getting some video content on your website, but also investing in a YouTube channel – whilst your video content may not be directly obvious, there are ways to generate good content that would capture awareness of your brand. For example, if you’re marketing a Law Firm you might have career tips, or tips on a certain situation that requires legal advice such as divorce or separation.
