Mass started out in the audio visual industry back in the year 1999 when he was 20 after several years working in the retail industry. He started out in sales for 6 months before moving into technical where he worked for a further 3 years helping turn the department into a more profitable division than the sales department along with the help of his brother Don. Mass then decided to take the plunge and leave that company and startup Project Audio Visual in 2003 along with his brother Don and Steve Hudson whom he’d become friends with after Steve supplied AV hire for his old employers for many years. Mass’s dream, when he was at school, was to join the RAF when he left and eventually move on to being a commercial pilot but due to some bad advice, the route that his life has taken has not been all bad! He now just sticks to flying small planes in his spare time
Nathan started his career at the ripe old age of 16 by joining the army as a chef. After seeing the world and giving 7 years to Queen and Country, Nathan decided to leave and try out chefing in civvie street. After a couple of years doing long shifts and unsociable hours, Nathan left the profession and due to his outgoing personality, join the world of sales starting at a little-known company called Auto Trader it quickly became apparent that he had found his calling. Being very ambitious and wanting to climb the career ladder, Nathan took an account managers job in an audio visual company where he quickly found his feet and started building accounts. After a couple of years Nathan made the brave move into the I.T recruitment world joining S3 who are one of the top recruitment companies across the UK and Europe. Nathan continued to stay in the recruitment sector for the next 14 years rising to Director level and running multi million pound operations across the UK. Knowing the owners of Mass Media Advertising and Project Audio Visual, when the opportunity arose for someone to join the team as Sales Director and help the company move to the next level, he jumped at the chance knowing the business had such potential. And here we are pushing barriers and having some fun on the way…
Steve started in audio visual 25 years ago in the hire, conference and exhibition market. During this time Steve owned and operated two hire companies AVH Ltd and IT Hire. After successfully selling the later company, Steve was approached by Don and Mass to partner with them and help set up Project AV. The rest is history after nearly 15 successful years and the start-up of its sister company Mass Media Advertising the partnership has continued to strengthen. Steve is a dedicated family man away from work and is the company rum expert, collecting and tasting rum from all across the globe.
After getting bored of saying More Music Variety This Is Heart’, Lee decided to move away from being on the radio to actually selling radio advertising campaigns for national and local brands who wanted to promote their products, services and increase brand awareness. Lee then started with Project Audio Visual looking after the retail sector providing media walls and LED solutions.
Len’s career in technology spans as far back as his first computer, the ZX Spectrum 128k. His earlier days started out installing fibre optics and data cabling within secure MOD environments. This role soon transitioned into the Telecommunications industry and into the role of service engineer; installing systems such as, Mitel, Avaya, Panasonic and Samsung. He naturally progressed from service engineer to technical support; liaising with customers over the phone and managing engineers. After receiving praise for his customer service and strong communication skills, he moved into the role of Project Manager after an acquisition by TalkTalk group. This role then became home for the next 7 years and included large scale projects and the first VMware hosted solution. During this time, he was appointed the project manager for the move of a former Prime Minister when leaving office. After serving a further two years as a project manager in the Audio Visual world, he decided to hang up his PM gloves and fully utilise his natural ability to form new business relationships, alongside his love for AV and move into his current position of commercial BDM at Project Audio Visual. Since joining the company, Len has worked on the growth and expansion of our corporate sector through the generation of new business. Len loves anything from the comedy genre (his hero is Rik Mayall).
