A grant from the Princes Youth Business Trust, back-breaking work renovating the Station House, and a couple of motorbikes launched Speed Couriers onto the emerging Manchester courier scene, and formed the basis of the company that has endured the years and grown to become the North West’s largest independent Sameday Courier.
Total commitment to customer service, borne out by numerous business awards over many years, has ensured consistent growth even through the lean times. After 7 prosperous years in the Station House the business relocated to its present home within Trafford Park.
Now based in a dedicated courier operations centre, with easy access to Manchester City Centre and the entire UK via the M60 Orbital Motorway, the business has developed significantly.
Perhaps greatest testament to our the manner in which we conduct our business is that, not only do we retain five of our very first clients from when we began in 1986, but, remarkably, we also still have more than a couple of those likely looking lads in the first picture on our staff!
