I have been the owner of one pharmacy in Liverpool for the past nine years. When I needed locums I used to call a locum agency to see if they could arrange a locum for me. This involved a number of phone calls, some during my busy periods, with the standard of locum provided invariably poor and with no follow up from the locum agency. A year or so ago I switched to using Pharmaseekers. With Pharmaseekers I simply upload my vacancies on to their website when I am not busy. When I have another quiet period later in the day I log back into the system to see that my vacancies have been covered and I just have to do a final confirm I love this system because I can book or confirm locums at my convenience using my PC or IPAD. Pharmaseekers check with me after a locum has worked for me to see that they have been OK. If I have had any issues they will not book the locum again. If the locum was good I ask Pharmaseekers to make them a preferred locum when I add any vacancies in future In summary, a good standard of locums are provided which are booked in a convenient and simple way, with good back office support.
