The company is based on over 35 years of experience of Simon Wheatman, a Chartered Town Planner, who has worked in local government planning departments before learning his craft as a consultant with a leading firm of consultants in the region at that time, where he was an Associate Director. In 1997 he established Wheatman Planning Limited and now leads a small team of professionals.

Our service is firmly based on our previous experience in local government and consultancies. We provide a bespoke service reflecting the needs of each client and commission. Our outstanding track record of tackling difficult planning issues using practical and imaginative approaches results in repeat instructions from our clients. We are constantly exploring new ideas and approaches to deliver our clients' objectives through planning applications, local plan promotion and planning appeals.
