Music Business
Our courses are all focused on preparing musicians, producers, performers, creative artists and entrepreneurs for a successful and rewarding career in the music industry. And we must be doing something right, because within 6 months of graduating, over 90% of our graduates are in employment or further education; around two-thirds are engaged in music-related jobs or study; and the average salary of ICMP London graduates is almost 12% above that for arts graduates.*
Our personalised learning approach means we really get to know you as a musician. We’ll provide a learning experience that’s unique to you, and will work with you to nurture your natural talent, explore your future ambitions, and provide ongoing opportunities for live performances, auditioning, songwriting, recording and touring. We understand that each student will have different career motivations and your vision of ‘success’ will be unique, so we encourage you to follow your own individual path. At the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, your future is in your hands, and you’ll graduate feeling emboldened and inspired, with the tools, connections, self-confidence and head start you need to drive your career in the music industry forward.

Whatever course you choose to follow, you will find the facilities and equipment you need to achieve your goals, alongside inspiring tuition and a personalised approach to your learning. Importantly, all ICMP students can utilise our facilities for personal practice, free of charge, outside of timetabled hours, and we are open seven days a week.
On an ICMP course therefore you will benefit from some of the highest contact hours provided anywhere in UK Higher Education, and either in one to one or small group experiences you will be treated as an individual and have significant access to advice and guidance. This means that class sizes will be capped at 15, and whilst you are not studying you have access to practice spaces.
With our virtual booking system, students can remotely book practice rooms and rehearsal spaces whilst they are not in classes throughout their time at the ICMP. We are also open during the weekend and till 10pm during the week to allow our students the opportunities to practice after classes and really get to use our facilities.
ICMP is widely respected as an experienced and proven provider of higher education; we understand that all aspiring musicians need a serious and experienced partner in order to realise their personal musical goals and ambitions.
