ABOUT ICMP MANAGEMENT LIMITED

Key to our philosophy is the understanding that every student is unique. We have always focused therefore on the needs and potential of individual students, ensuring that the music education we provide is tailored and personalised, giving you the best chance of success in the very competitive and challenging environment of the music industry.

Our mission is to inspire, encourage and equip our students to succeed by delivering relevant and innovative education of the highest quality.

We are committed to investing in the best teaching and learning environment for our students, with the latest equipment always available.

Here at the ICMP we are very proud of the achievements of all of our students and alumni.

Central to your educational experience at the ICMP are the tutors, who not only deliver the course curriculum but also provide a range of advice, feedback, support and guidance during your course of study.

Music Business

Our courses are all focused on preparing musicians, producers, performers, creative artists and entrepreneurs for a successful and rewarding career in the music industry. And we must be doing something right, because within 6 months of graduating, over 90% of our graduates are in employment or further education; around two-thirds are engaged in music-related jobs or study; and the average salary of ICMP London graduates is almost 12% above that for arts graduates.*

Our personalised learning approach means we really get to know you as a musician. We’ll provide a learning experience that’s unique to you, and will work with you to nurture your natural talent, explore your future ambitions, and provide ongoing opportunities for live performances, auditioning, songwriting, recording and touring. We understand that each student will have different career motivations and your vision of ‘success’ will be unique, so we encourage you to follow your own individual path. At the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, your future is in your hands, and you’ll graduate feeling emboldened and inspired, with the tools, connections, self-confidence and head start you need to drive your career in the music industry forward.

ICMP provides you an unrivalled network of music industry connections, providing you with access to a wide range of exclusive opportunities to develop your profile and your career.

We continually invest in the provision of a world-class learning environment, which provides you with the best possible opportunities to develop your talent and achieve your goals

By taking a course at the ICMP, you can be sure you will be learning from the best tutors and professional practitioners in the business.

The ICMP is a widely respected and highly trusted member of the UK higher education community, and we are proud of our extensive range of accreditations and certifications.

over the year with which you can engage. Our masterclasses, gigs, tours, events, clubs and social activities will all provide you with the opportunity to learn from our tutors and  fellow students as well as make those all important connections.

ICMP’s London location is a real asset, as it means our students are in the best place to start off and thrive in their musical careers. From the celebrated locations of Denmark Street, Soho and Camden to the up-and-coming hotspots of East London, students have the opportunity to help create the future of London as a musical landmark and innovator.

We are committed to investing in the best possible teaching and learning environment for our students.

Whatever course you choose to follow, you will find the facilities and equipment you need to achieve your goals, alongside inspiring tuition and a personalised approach to your learning. Importantly, all ICMP students can utilise our facilities for personal practice, free of charge, outside of timetabled hours, and we are open seven days a week.

On an ICMP course therefore you will benefit from some of the highest contact hours provided anywhere in UK Higher Education, and either in one to one or small group experiences you will be treated as an individual and have significant access to advice and guidance. This means that class sizes will be capped at 15, and whilst you are not studying you have access to practice spaces.

With our virtual booking system, students can remotely book practice rooms and rehearsal spaces whilst they are not in classes throughout their time at the ICMP. We are also open during the weekend and till 10pm during the week to allow our students the opportunities to practice after classes and really get to use our facilities.

ICMP is widely respected as an experienced and proven provider of higher education; we understand that all aspiring musicians need a serious and experienced partner in order to realise their personal musical goals and ambitions.

Here at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance we are very proud of the achievements of all of our students and graduates.

We love to celebrate their achievements, whether they are making a name for themselves as stars on some of the world’s biggest stages, or simply making a rewarding career out of making, playing, performing and teaching music.  So why not join us in celebrating this success by finding out about just a few of the thousands of success stories that ICMP has been privileged to witness over a quarter of a century.

ICMP’s highly esteemed teaching faculty is made up of experienced musicians, accomplished academics, qualified teachers and respected industry practitioners. They’ve shaped the face of the music business and are ready to give generous amounts of their time to help energise and inspire you. They’re highly focused on what works now in today’s music industry, and keen to pass their knowledge of the ever-changing music business landscape onto you.
