Blythe Liggins came into existence in May 1988 as the merger of two much older firms, Blythe Owen-George & Co and Liggins & Co, both of which were established just after the Second World War.

Blythe Owen-George was founded by Roland Owen-George and James Blythe who later became His Honour Judge Blythe. The firm's main office was in Leamington Spa and it had roots dating back to the nineteenth century.

Liggins & Co was founded by the late Sir Edmund Liggins in Little Park Street, Coventry with, as he liked to relate, a clerk and a typewriter. Sir Edmund went on to become President of the Law Society and his memory is perpetuated by the current purpose built offices of the firm which it has occupied since 1993.

Blythe Liggins can trace its roots back more than 100 years. This firm is a well-established and respected legal practice and acts for many well known corporate clients and institutions, whilst retaining and developing its private client base, both in Warwickshire and throughout the country.
