Phil Dutton started the business from home, fitting interior doors and repairing and modernising kitchen units. It began as a hobby, but Phil soon was prompted to give up his career as a toolmaker and concentrate on his new career. Over a quarter of a century later Tefore is the longest continuously trading kitchen company in the area.
The company's growth was rapid as word got around about Tefore's excellent workmanship. Phil’s son Paul joined the company in 1992 becoming a partner three years later, and after spells in Washford and Moons Moat the company moved to its current location in Washford's Heming Road in 2003.

Much of our ongoing customer base is from referrals from satisfied customers, many of which come back for repeat business.
