Nicolas founded Asia Global Trade in 2003, leading the Company’s growth in physical commodities trading, starting initially with paper and expanding to plastic and metals. He has developed long term relationships with numerous manufacturers and processors around the world.
Nicolas holds an MSc in Management from NEOMA Business School.
Bertrand’s family ran a household waste collection and treatment business in Normandy (France) until it was bought by Sita Suez Group in 2001. He then played a key role in the establishment of a PVC recycling business as Commercial Director until late 2005.
Bertrand subsequently joined the 3rd largest waste management company in France, in charge of the plastics market for South Eastern France. In 2009, he moved to the UK to work for one of Europe’s largest recycling bottle plants, in charge of purchasing PET materials from the EU, before eventually moving to AGT in 2012 as European Commercial Manager.
He joined Asia Global Trade in 2012 to establish its North American operation. Previously, Philippe had enjoyed a successful career in international financial advisory and investments, notably at leading US private equity firm Vestar Capital Partners and Citigroup. Through his international career, he has developed significant business networks throughout Europe, America and Asia.
Philippe holds a Masters in Business from EDHEC Business School in France.
In 2009, Mr Marandon was elected President of Federec (Paris Region), France’s leading recycling association, demonstrating industry-wide recognition. He represents the fourth generation of the family business (Marandon Recyclage), which he sold in 1999 to the Sita Suez Group (No. 2 Environmental Services Company in the world). Until 2007, Mr Marandon stayed on as a Senior Advisor to the Sita Suez Group, and shortly after started Marandon Recytrading, an independent consulting and trading company. Throughout his career, he opened several recycling plants and yards, specialising first in scrap steel and non ferrous metal, then expanding to other recyclables such as paper, plastics, and wood. His expertise is continuously sought by many countries in Europe, and presently China.
Pierre is a graduate of the University Institute of Technology of Montpellier (France) in Business Administration.
