From the start of the tender process, through design, installation, commissioning and including to our current routine maintenance, Pacific have been professional, reliable and helpful. The project at the Marlowes Centre consisted of replacement of the whole fire alarm system, including wiring replacement throughout, replacement and connection of sixty tenant interfaces and integration with numerous M&E systems, whilst keeping the incumbent fire alarm system functioning to retain full life safety coverage throughout the eight month project.
The whole project team were knowable, accommodating (both with technical anomalies as they cropped up and with inevitable out of hours works needed to keep the shopping centre and our stores open and trading), and brilliant at communicating with all of the other parties involved in making the project happen on time, on budget and with minimal disruption.
I was appointed as project manager, by Natural History Museum, to facilitate the fire alarm panel changeover. During the tender process, Pacific Fire were extremely attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful. Following appointment, a full schedule of works was put together by Pacific, which was then tailored around the museums busy events schedule. Works began with a lot of unknowns, due to the age and size of the fire detection and alarm system. My position as project manager was made very simple due to the amount of information being relayed following each shift, by Kirk from Pacific Fire. The client requested additional training which was provided when desired, and then onsite support was provided during the latter stages of the graphics system works. The standard of work was always very high, with every plant room being cleaned following each shift.
