Mendick Waring is an established, client-focused multi-disciplinary practice of Building Services Engineering Consultants, based in North London.
Fergus studied Building Services Engineering at Bolton Street, College of Technology, Dublin and graduated in 1987, obtaining a Higher National Diploma. He moved to London in 1987 and worked with Drake and Scull for a number of years in their D&B section, developing experience in both the design and contracting aspects of the business. Fergus’s work has encompassed many sectors within the industry including residential, health care, commercial, retail and education. Fergus brings a structured, methodical and constructive approach to all projects that he works on and is responsible for the strategic direction of the practice
Jon studied Building Services Engineering at St Marys College Southampton, completing both ONC and HND level BTEC’s whilst carrying out a 4 year vocational apprenticeship. Following 5 years as a design and projects engineer with both M&E and D&B contractors across the South coast, Jon spent 2 years as a design engineer in Melbourne, Australia. Jon returned to the UK and joined Mendick Waring as a Senior Building Services Engineer in 2007 becoming an Associate Director in 2009 and Director in 2013. Jon has a wealth of experience in a number of sectors within the building industry. These include education, Ministry of Defence projects, retail, hotels and leisure, commercial, residential and theatres. Utilising this breadth of experience, Jon is responsible for the overall technical delivery of work within the practice and seeks to provide a holistic and sustainable approach to the built environment.
Suresh joined Mendick Waring in 2003 having completed a degree Mechanical Engineering at South Bank University. Since then Suresh has established himself within the company, becoming an Associate Director in 2007 and a Director in 2012. Suresh is responsible for the overall technical and commercial delivery of projects in the office, with a specialist focus in large scale residential development and conceptual design. Using his experience to-date, Suresh provides a pragmatic and commercial approach to Building Services, undertaking regular reviews for both technical and practical viability. In addition, Suresh is well versed in evaluation of contract agreements and standardization of Employers Requirements (ERs) and specification documents.
Andy studied Building Services Engineering at London South Bank University on a part-time basis and obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree in 2005. Having previously worked for a number of large consulting engineers and large contractors, Andy joined Mendick Waring in 2006 as an Associate Director, becoming a Director in 2013. Andy has over 20 years engineering experience covering most sectors of the industry including commercial, residential, educational, retail, heritage, hotels, sporting venues, broadcasting and health. He uses this knowledge and experience to offer a broad and constructive input at all stages of the building process, from the initial feasibility and concept stages, through detailed design/co-ordination and finally during construction. Andy oversees the quality of the electrical engineering design for all major projects within Mendick Waring and provides training and technical support where required. Andy holds the CIBSE Lighting Diploma and is a member of the Society of Light and Lighting and provides advice on all projects requiring a complex architectural lighting scheme.
