S & D Garritt Ltd, formerly S.F. Garritt Ltd, was established in 1982 by Steve Garritt. We are an entirely family run business based in Doncaster, but undertake work anywhere in the country, and occasionally overseas.
All of our consulting staff are members of the Institute of Acoustics, and the company is a member of the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC). We are registered on the ANC scheme for accredited Pre Completion Sound Insulation Testing.
We strive to give the best, most accurate acoustic advice and consultancy, while minimising implications for the cost and maximising the sustainability of any project. Our fees are competitive and we aim to provide useful, comprehensive consultancy while keeping our clients costs as low as possible.
David has been a director of the company since 2003 and now teaches the Noise and Vibration Control Engineering module of the Institute of Acoustics Diploma at Leeds Metropolitan University. David currently sits on the ANC Communications Group.

S & D Garritt Ltd are Acoustic Consultants with over 30 years’ experience in noise control and acoustics. We are based in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, but surveys are undertaken anywhere in the country and occasionally overseas.
We are members of The Association of Noise Consultants and all consulting staff are full members of The Institute of Acoustics.
We are registered on The Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) scheme for pre-completion sound insulation testing. This ensures that the tests will be accepted by any Building Control body nationwide. We are able to give a verbal test result on site and in the event of a failure, we will advise on remedial treatments.
