Kardorama was started in 1964 by Brian Elwood to promote the sale of London view postcards, which now sell worldwide.
Seeing off the competition, mainly John Hinde Ltd., who produced top-quality postcards, Kardorama eventually purchased the London interests of John Hinde. Other companies came and went and a handful are now straggling on, but Kardorama became the market leader through consistently producing excellent images, using the most expensive pulp board from sustainable forests, and a high gloss UV varnish.
