Founded in the early 1990s as ‘Prism,’ a London-based general financial advisory firm, we adopted ‘Xpat’ in 2002 to reflect our growing reputation in emigrant and expat matters.
Today, Prism Xpat is a leader in financial advice in the UK, especially for emigrants and expats between the UK and any of Australia, New Zealand, Canada or South Africa. We’ve consulted to government departments as well as major banks and insurance companies, and have been featured as experts on the BBC.
The advice on what options were available was well presented enabling us to choose the most suitable plan. The process and associated risks and advantages at each stage were well explained which resulted in maximum transfer value and maximising income from funds remaining in the UK. Prism's willing consultation with our UK financial adviser on alternative strategies provided additional benefits. The recomendation for our Australian adviser was excellent. Prism's firm but no doubt time consuming dealing with an uncooperative UK fund provider Axa eventually produced the required outcome. As well as having been CEO of Prism Xpat for close to 10 years and with 25 years' experience working across the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Darion is regarded by many as the top expert in dealing with international pension issues for emigrants from the UK to Australia and New Zealand. A Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in both the UK and Australia, Darion has personally assisted many thousands of people to benefit from UK-international pension strategies and transfers. Darion’s blend of qualifications, experience and know-how is unmatched in this part of the market and is used to create significant added value for his local and international clientele. Outside work, Darion enjoys running, music and spending time with his family.
Based in London, but originating from South Africa, Steve has over 25 years' experience working across the UK and Offshore jurisdictions in the areas of pensions and wealth management. Steve specialises in offering compliant financial solutions to both UK nationals and emigrants, including our high net worth clients and has developed an expertise in dealing with emigrants to Australia. Prior to joining Prism Xpat, Steve worked with well known multi-nationals including La Mondiale (French), AMP NPI (Australian) and Canada Life.
Vikki looks after the office to help ensure that this runs as smoothly as possible, so Prism Xpat can generate the best possible results for its clients. Prior to joining us, Vikki has worked as an Office Manager, Team Support Officer and Teacher. In her spare time, Vikki is a Volunteer Liaison Group Co-ordinator for an international charity, and has travelled extensively, including to Australia and New Zealand.
Suresh Kumar makes up a key part of Prism Xpat's administration team. With over 20 years experience in dealing with pension schemes in the UK of all different types as well as with QROPS, Suresh is well placed to handle the administration queries required. Outside of work, Suresh enjoys spending time with his family.
Catherine is a qualified accountant and has worked closely with Prism Xpat for over 10 years handling the financial side of the day to day running of the business. Catherine’s main interests when not at work or preparing tax returns are looking after her son and camping.
