The Managing Director Neil Baker is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor, with over 40 years of experience in the business. A former Colliery Surveyor with British Coal, Neil has worked in private practice, since 1991. Over the years, he and his team have obtained planning permission for over 30 'gas to power' embedded power generation sites. Baker Barnett has also been heavily involved in procuring the land access agreements, the detailed site design, setting out and administered the construction contract, for a large number of those sites.

We at Baker Barnett have carried out work for a variety of clients, mainly other companies, but we also have many private clients.
Since we began in the early 1990s, Baker Barnett has the proven track record specialising in 'gas to power' embedded electricity generation projects. Initially those projects largely involved generating electricity from coal mine methane , extracted from old coal mine workings, but latterly we have been involved with the development of STOR and Back-up power generation sites using natural gas.
