Welcome to our company, Cowley’s Building and Maintenance Ltd, owned and managed by ourselves, Claire and Steve since 2011. Being former employees we had an excellent insight of the company structure and values.
Since 2011 we have gone from strength to strength and have a 1st class reputation for being a reliable,trusted, quality construction, building and property maintenance company in Exeter, Devon. Collectively we have focused our attentions on being a progressive company, maintaining our loyal clients and to build our client base by consistently improving on our systems of work, client care and satisfaction, embracing change, commitment to the services we offer and to perform with competence any project no matter how complex as we would like to be the building company of choice. With our experience of working in synergy with Architects, Surveyors, Estate Agents, Management Companies, Private clients and subcontractors we are able to give expert advice on all your building requirements even at the idea stage whether large or small. we will work together with you to produce the project you envisage, on time and within budget.
Claire has been part of the Cowleys team since 2004. Although behind the scenes Claire’s drive and passion for the business has kept us at the forefront of our industry focusing her attentions on our business ethos, quality workmanship, customer relations, Health and Safety and value for money.
Claire is the first point of contact for the company and is happy to assist with all enquiries.
We are extremely proud to boast a team of highly skilled, fully qualified craftsmen who have years of experience and are fully dedicated in ensuring their work is of excellent standard and committed to giving complete customer satisfaction. They are all DBS Police Vetted and hold current CSCS cards and carry identification cards all for our clients peace of mind. All our site Managers and supervisors have been trained in the industry lead CITB SMSTS or SSTS courses and hold relevant certificates.
We provide ongoing training through our CITB trainers SSG as we value our staff and want them to enhance their knowledge, gain new qualifications and keep up to date with new legislation.
The nature of our work brings many hazards. Therefore, it is fundamental that we are aware of the health, safety and environmental impacts involved in building and maintenance work.
We are proud to uphold several accreditations and belong to a range of trade associations. By obtaining these accreditations, our customers – existing and potential – can ensure they are in safe, confident hands.
As a well-reputed building and maintenance company, our team of tradesmen ensure full compliance with these workplace regulations and take them very seriously.
The CIBT levy allows us to apply for grants towards ongoing training for our staff, enabling them to gain new qualifications. It also allows small businesses to employ apprentices. It is important to Cowley’s that young people are given the opportunity to enter this profession where there has been an identified shortage.
Cowley’s has been fully trained in the repair care system – a range of products that can achieve durable, permanent repairs at a fraction of the cost of replacement. Specially developed for the long-term maintenance of public, commercial, listed and domestic properties, the Repair Care system provides a sustainable alternative to replacement.
The recognised Exeter City Council Environmental Management accreditation. We hold superior status, which emphasises our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and the way our company disposes of waste and recycling, using sustainable products where we can.
