Established in 1993 by David and Adele Gallagher and the support of their families, with the aim of becoming the publics first choice by maintaining a personal caring approach to all families of the bereaved so that they endeavoured to recommend and return to the business.
David Gallagher had 4 years previous experience before starting the business and became a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, passing the Diploma in Funeral Directing set down by them in 1992.
Adele Gallagher entered the business in November 1997 and successfully gained her Diploma in 2000.
The family business also employ very carefully chosen members of staff who have the same care, respect and understanding of the bereaved and are an asset to the business.

David Lawson joined the business in May 2007 bringing with him 18 years experience of the funeral business. David passed his Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1995 and is a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors and British Institute of Embalmers.
Suzanne from Sutton-in-Craven joined the business in June 2016 and comes to us with extensive administration skills. Suzanne worked for Morrisons for 23 years and her most recent role was Front of House Manager. In October 2017 Suzanne will commence studies with the National Association of Funeral Directors – Diploma in Funeral Arranging & Administration
Carl joined the business in June 2011 as a Chauffeur/Bearer having served with the North Yorkshire Police for 32 years.
Peter joined the business in June 2012 as a Chauffeur/Bearer having worked for 30 years with the fire service in Keighley.
Rob joined the business in December 2013 as a Chauffeur/Bearer after working for 15 years as a care worker.
We are also able to provide a Victorian horse drawn hearse and for those with a motorcycle interest, we can arrange a motorcycle hearse for the final journey of your loved one.
David Gallagher Funeral Directors opened the doors of their first property in Bradford Road, Keighley in 1993 and in May 2004, David and Adele re-located their business and home to Airedale House in Utley.
Situated in Utley, the property boasts views of the Aire Valley overlooking Howden View. David, Adele and their children reside in the house attached to the business, meaning they are always available to families who require their assistance and support.
