ABOUT WIRRAL INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES LIMITED
WILS is a private organisation and has been providing supported accomodation for vulnerable adults in the Wirral locality since 2003. We are an accredited support provider with both the local government Supporting People team (SP) & Wirral Department for Adult Social Services (DASS). As such we offer two distinct services for vulnerable adults with varying support needs.
Throughout the time of providing supported living we have strived to develop our service and work closely with partnership agencies to best support the underpinning ethos and knowledge of the service and our workforce. We continually aim to improve and make the service as ‘client driven’ and accessible as possible, we regularly consult with service users and staff to shape policy and procedure and be part of making decisions for the future. We work within the framework of our contract to provide supported housing and also with the Quality Assessment Framework to continually develop our service.
Under our Supporting People contract we provide supported accomadation for people who have experienced problems with drug and/or alcohol misuse. This supported accomadation is based in the Wallasey area and consists of an 8 bed roomed property (King Street) with a communal lounge, kitchen & dining area, with a shower room on the ground floor, 1st floor bathroom & toilet facilities on each floor. In addition to this property we also have a block that houses three self contained 2 bedroom flats (Seabank Road). Each flat has shared lounge, kitchen & bathroom. Each bedroom has a lock to ensure privacy for each service user.
