Established in 2002 by Ian Lovatt and Derek Howard, FBS has grown into a team of experienced and knowledgable professionals devilering quality accountancy services to people and business across Yorkshire.
FBS provide a wide range of accountancy services including corporate taxation, business planning, budgets, cash flows and managements accounts, as well as providing bookkeeping and systems advice to clients, ranging from small sole traders to large corporations.
We also provide personal taxation services covering Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and the preparation of Estate Accounts.
Ian looks after client accounts production, corporate taxation, business planning, budgets, cash flows and managements accounts as well as providing bookkeeping and systems advice to clients ranging from small sole traders to our larger corporate clients. Ian is a keen golfer and is quite happy to arrange business meetings at the 19th hole if that suits the client!
Ella is a qualified Chartered Accountant and brings a tremendous depth of accounting knowledge to the firm through her training and qualifications. Ella joined the team as a company director on 1 September 2012 and looks after a portfolio of clients consisting of largely corporate businesses of a variety of trades and sizes.
In her spare time, most of which is taken up bringing up her young son and helping her partner with his business venture, Ella is keen on exercise and keeping fit.
Steve has worked for the practice for a number of years handling a portfolio of clients ranging from retail shops to farming groups to service led companies. He is a CIMA qualified accountant and has worked within both industry and practice building up a great deal experience within accounting but also being at the sharp end of working within growing SME businesses.
Kim is a qualified Accounting Technician and joined the team in September 2009. Kim looks after accounts production for a portfolio of self employed sole traders, partnerships and corporate clients and also looks after several off site bookkeeping roles. An extremely keen tennis player at Ripon Tennis Club, Kim has been known to play in all weathers and gives ‘no quarter’, even when playing against her own family!
