Cloudbass was formed in 2002 out of a strong desire to do things a little bit differently. Starting with crewing, the company quickly gained a solid reputation for providing people across the range of disciplines within Outside Broadcast. This experience provided the company directors with a unique opportunity to see a wide range of different productions for a vast number of clients with a number of specialist suppliers.
This experience then got put to use as Cloudbass invested in its own facilities with the commencement of the contract for Manchester United Television to provide coverage of their Reserve and Academy games. After further growth and development of in house facilities, Cloudbass were awarded similiar contracts for Liverpool TV, West Bromwich Albion, Premier Sports (Blue Square Premiership).
Cloudbass' facilities provision was further extended in 2012 when it acquired significant assets of Arqiva Outside Broadcast enhancing the fleet, especially in HD facilities. The company also took on the delivery of Premier League Productions Superfeed and the main Championship game coverage for IMG (BBC's Football League Show). In addition to this Cloudbass Scotland was awarded the contract to provide the outside broadcast facilities for the BBC's Question Time programme produced by Mentorn Scotland.
Not only a facilities provider, Cloudbass also specialises in other broadcast 'solutions' including delivery of tapeless workflows for ITV Sport and Manchester United Television.
This desire to bring other related services in house to provide a more integrated service to clients led to the setting up of Cloudbass Graphics as a dedicated division based at Pinewood Studios. This division quickly secured some established talent from the broadcast graphics sector as well as major contracts with ITV Sport and BSI Speedway.
All of this has led to Cloudbass being the fastest growing company of its type in the UK and positions it as a unique provider of broadcast solutions with the ability to do things just a little bit differently and provide just that little bit more to its clients.
