ABOUT THE ALPACA CENTRE LIMITED
Originally The Alpaca Centre, The Alpaca Clothing Company is a family ran business located at the gateway to the lakes. It all began when Joy and Garry had a dream of farming alpaca's as Joy thought they were wonderful creatures. They bought a property with land for the alpaca's, with the intention of building a tourist attraction and that is exactly what they did!Originally they set out with a small selection of alpaca knitwear and used the Centre to teach others about alpacas as they were a new animal to the UK. But as time passed, customers wanted more alpaca products and the centre expanded and focused more on clothing lines and The Alpaca Clothing Co was born!
The Alpaca Clothing Company has continued to flourish and is now a popular shopping destination both in store and online. All of our alpaca produce is imported from Peru in South America, the origin of the Alpaca. There is a wide range of both ladies and men's alpaca knitwear, coats, accessories, slippers and socks, a selection of handmade children's wear and not to mention beautiful alpaca teddies and many more unique gift ideas. We also offer a small luxurious home ware range including throws and exquisite fur rugs.
