Hobby Horse Ltd is a family owned business owned by Cherrill and John Phillips and their daughter Rachael Edgeler. Formed in 2002 with
of Hobby Horse Day Nursery in Plympton, Rachael, Cherrill and John set about establishing Hobby Horse as a high quality childcare provider in the area.
Having successfully established Hobby Horse Day Nursery as a quality provision with good/oustanding OFSTED inspection results the company decided to expand and Rocking Horse Day Nursery (an existing provision) in Ivybridge was aquired by Hobby Horse Ltd in 2005, encompassing both a nursery and before/after school/holiday club and was run successfully by Hobby Horse Ltd for 10 years. Since its formation Rachael has strived to ensure that the parents and children of Hobby Horse enjoy high quality care and education at all times.

Hobby Horse Ltd takes the Health and Hygiene of your child extremely seriously and operates by strict policies and procedures to ensure this happens on a daily basis. The nurseries are kept scrupiously clean and strict infection control procedures are followed by all staff.
Because your child's health is important to us, all meals provided by the nurseries are nutritious, balanced, healthy meals with fruit and vegetables served to the children every day as part of that diet. This is further re-inforced with the pre-school children who bring a packed lunch as parents are told that all food brought in by the children must be healthy and no chocolate, sweets or crisps are allowed.
