Welcome to Phaseolus
Phaseolus Ltd was created in 2004 after researching the market demand to supply IQF beans and pulses for the food manufacturing and catering industry – our beans can be found on all supermarket shelves today.
Phaseolus have a diverse range of customers; with products that contain our beans appearing in all leading supermarkets. Whilst the main growing regions for our pulses are the USA, Canada and China, some are also grown in Argentina, Russia, Peru and Poland.
Products are traceable back to country of origin except UK grown where they are traceable back to field. We are constantly reviewing our portfolio to ensure we monitor market trends and have an ongoing New Product Development programme.
We have a comprehensive range of stock items (see individual products for information), but we can also produce made-to-order lines and/or organic certified. Markets for our beans are soups, salads, ready meals, dips, sauces, formed products etc.

For our core/standard lines, the minimum order quantity is 1 pallet per product and lead time is 1 week.
For our made to order lines, the minimum order is up to 2 tonnes (dependent upon final yield), per product, and lead time is up to 4-6 weeks.
In November 2013 Phaseolus became a wholly owned subsidiary of Place UK Ltd, our processing partners for the previous ten years.
It is business as usual, supported by a wealth of experience within the team based at Tunstead, Place UK.
Established in 1954, Place UK is a family owned company growing high quality soft fruits as part of the leading soft fruit organisation supplying major UK retailers. The IQF processing facility supplies the manufacturing sector with frozen processed fruits and purees.
The acquisition of the Phaseolus Pulse business will further enhance the commitment to source, process and deliver excellent service that has been developed over recent years.

New products include: White Sorghum, Red Quinoa, Spelt and Giant Israeli Cous Cous.
