ABOUT BLAKEHEAD LIMITED
Barry has more than thirty years’ experience leading change programmes and consulting on various aspects of business transformation. He started his career in the jet engine industry spending 8 years with Rolls-Royce, before transferring to the financial services sector, where he held a number of senior management positions, including spells as Head of IT, and Corporate Planning Manager. He was a management consultant with Price Waterhouse prior to becoming an independent consultant in 1991.
Barry has completed a wide range of assignments for blue chip clients such as HSBC, MBNA, AXA and Aviva, leading major change programmes as diverse as system implementations, company relocations, performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction exercises. He has also represented clients as expert advisor during a number of M&A transactions, led due diligence exercises and managed operational transitions from seller to buyer.
Barry is a strong advocate of forging close relationships between IT and the business, having spent a lot of time in both disciplines. He believes that unlocking the talent within an organization is at the core of successful change.
