Martin joined Polaris in 2015 after a successful 15-year career in the Ministry of Defence. He has extensive experience in a variety of project delivery and senior leadership roles, in areas including Submarines, Nuclear projects, Cost Analysis, Business Cases and Approvals, and Project Management – most recently leading all MOD Cost Assurance and Analysis Services work related to the Submarines domain.
Peter joined Polaris in 2011 on a part time basis, to assist in managing the Associate Consultants business. He has over 40 years experience of defence procurement having worked both within the MoD and Industry, during which time he developed a deep understanding of requirements from both supplier and customer perspectives.
Mark joined Polaris in 2015 to run our Bristol office, and has a successful track record in the delivery of technical consultancy to clients in the public and private sector spanning over 18 years. His experience includes the delivery of projects and programmes to clients in the UK and overseas; provision of technical consultancy; and business unit responsibility for the delivery of a multi-million pound portfolio of projects to the UK defence sector.
Ryan has been with Polaris since 2015 and is an analyst for the company with a BA(Hons) in War and Security Studies from the University of Hull. With a background in International Politics and Strategic Studies, Ryan was hired as a graduate and has since worked on a number of tasks, particularly in Operational Research and Analysis. He has provided support to tasks for a range of customers and the company itself, covering a wide range of subjects and approaches.
Jo has over 15 years’ experience providing systems engineering consultancy to defence with specific expertise and achievement in technical delivery of projects within the C4ISTAR domain. She has experience at the business and system design level, including planning and oversight of complex work programmes undertaken by multi-disciplinary and consortium based development teams.
Sam joined Polaris in January 2016 as an analyst after completing his MSc project in collaboration with the company. Both his MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and BSc (Hons) in Mathematics with Statistics, were completed at the University of Portsmouth. His studies developed a wide range of skills including Operational Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Statistics.
James graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Management. A capable data analyst with accomplished skills in the Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel and Project. James joined Polaris at the end of August 2016 after spending 18 months working on the MCOCs programme at Army Headquarters, Andover. James provided support to the programme as a data analyst exploiting the cost models at his disposal to prepare reports to Joint Helicopter Command and for the Army Training Review.
Having joined Polaris in December 2016, Helen is at the heart of our Consultancy business with the responsibility for managing and coordinating team activities and ensuring compliance to all relevant standards. She has wide experience within Project Management and Project Office Support. With over 20+ years of experience in the Data Storage IT industry, gaining qualifications in Purchasing (CIPS) and Project Management (APMP).
Mike joined Polaris in 2017, as a Managing Consultant and has 20 years’ experience in defence analysis and consultancy. He has a proven track record in growing and sustaining new analytical business areas, and delivering large analysis contracts.
