The Company
County Tree Surgeons was founded in 1987 by Brian Farrow an experienced tree surgeon with fifteen years’ experience, with his wife Judy controlling the administration and finance function. He was joined shortly afterwards (around the time of the great ‘Storm of ’87) by his son Paul and in the mid-nineties by his other son, Lee.
30 years later, County Tree Surgeons remains a family firm with all four family members holding Directorship positions. We wouldn’t be where we are without the hard work and dedication of our team comprising of consulting arborists, contract managers, plant operators, arborists, countryside operatives, administrators and other support personnel.
County Tree Surgeons Inception
The business has grown steadily since its inception and became County Tree Surgeons Limited in 2001. We now employ almost 40 staff and whilst maintaining the family feel of the business we have continually progressed and developed.
We retain to this day many of our original clients and much of our business comes via recommendations. Our team members are fully trained to recognised standards, competent and recognised for their efforts.
We are proud to be an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor, and hold ISO9001, ISO14001 and NHSS18 (National Highway Sector Scheme for Landscape and Ecology) accreditations. Our safety accreditations include CHAS, SMAS and Safecontractor. We invest heavily in state of the art machinery and staff development and training, realising that our team is our strongest asset.
Along with general tree surgery work, we also provide a consultancy service in which we can undertake detailed tree assessments, which will highlight any potential hazards. We are highly experienced in dealing with tree preservation orders and trees within conservation areas.
