ABOUT THE CORNISH GIN DISTILLERY LIMITED

Elemental Cornish Gin is a family company based in Cornwall, masterminded by Jon and Jilly with the help of their two eldest children Alice and Jeremy.

So, why start a gin company? We have been passionate about gin since the first time we tasted our first ever Martini almost thirty years ago. Having seen the micro-distilleries in London we began researching gin over two years ago and decided that Cornwall deserved its own high quality premium gin. It has been a long, but enjoyable process.

Our aim with Elemental Cornish Gin was to create an artisan Cornish gin. We use the more traditional and expensive one shot method of making gin rather than using a concentrate as many commercial gins do. After distillation it is so good we don’t need to add anything except the finest Cornish spring water to create our unique, complex and well balanced flavour. Combining this attention to detail, our use of outstanding botanicals and the pure passion injected by our family, it is a gin like no other.

We chose the name Elemental because gin production is an ancient process dependent on the alchemical elements of copper and water, both of which are also strong symbols of Cornwall. Our logo incorporates these traditional alchemy symbols, celebrating the heritage of both gin distillation and Cornwall’s industrial past. In building our brand we have tried to use other small Cornish companies and we have already partnered with a few high quality suppliers and are currently forming new partnerships.

Elemental is produced in small batches, handcrafted in a traditional copper still using locally sourced Cornish spring water and a closely guarded list of twelve of the finest botanicals sourced from around the world. It is quite simply the premium quality product you deserve. The artisan nature of our luxury Cornish gin captures the thrill and glamour of the 1920s prohibition scene and welcomes it to present-day, bringing the party to your table and the Great Gatsby to your glass.
