Filter Designs was formed as a Limited Company in 2001 by the present Chairman, Roger Callis.
With over 43 years experience in the industry including pioneering Ceramic Filter Technologies, a position as Technical Director for Lodge Sturtevant and an apprenticeship at DCE, Roger is well placed to serve the dust control industry. This experience is shared with the present employees of the business to continue the benefits of industry knowledge. Simon Callis now deals with the day to day operation of the business as Managing Director, with Roger in a supporting role.
FDL now have 7 full time staff including 3 project managers and 2 CAD engineers based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire with a combined industry experience of 109 years. Our filter and plant designs are our own proven systems with significant experience of hot gas filtration, energy from waste plants and biomass plants, previously with clinical waste incineration. However, our scope can be as simple as delivery of a small silo venting filter or as involved as a complete flue gas treatment plant, including various facets; ducting, filter, chimney, continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS), electrics, PLC/control panels, spark supression systems, insulation and cladding, erection and commissioning.
FDL are involved in numerous projects in the UK and internationally. In the past few years, filter systems have been provided to companies in Czech Republic, Poland, USA - Michigan and Florida, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Finland and all over the UK.
With time served in the industry, we major on experience, short reaction times and a professional yet personal approach. Our subcontractors are key to our success, allowing us to complete turnkey projects much larger than our immediate footprint. We do take on challenging projects which other companies may not.
