Since our launch in 2001, we have evolved from an on-premise IT systems specialist into an innovative Managed Services provider at the cutting edge of the cloud revolution. We pride ourselves on combining knowledge, trust and quality to deliver an outstanding service to our clients. We are expanding rapidly and are one of Microsoft’s fastest growing cloud service providers in the UK. Not only did we achieve a year-on-year growth of 283% in 2016 but last year recorded the highest number of new client deployments on Azure in the UK.
Our mission
Digital Transformation is on the mind of almost every CIO and IT director and we are committed to offering our clients the very best that technology has to offer as they undergo this process. The status of IT within organisations is changing, it is no longer there to facilitate select business functions, but is a vital part of a business’s overall strategy. We aim to help our clients make the most of the cloud and take advantage of the business benefits it offers.
As a relatively small business, we felt that a cyber-attack would never happen to us. The result was, when we were hit by ransomware, just about everything that could go wrong, did, and our incumbent IT provider was not equipped to deal with it. Netmetix addressed the issues so quickly and minimised the business impact of the cyber-attack, I feel much happier that we are protected against future threats. Also, from an operations point of view, by moving to the cloud, we have also been able to create an IT infrastructure that is far better suited to serving our business needs.
Since meeting with Netmetix, I’ve become a bit of a cloud convert. The team was able to address all our concerns about moving to a cloud based system and convince us that there is real business value in adopting cloud technology. Our business is now supported by IT systems that are designed to allow continued growth whilst minimising CapEx and a Managed Service Provider that looks after our entire infrastructure, meaning we can focus on our business objectives confident we have the infrastructure to support them.
Due to the nature of our business, The SENAD Group has a duty of care to the students in our schools and adult homes. Internet access is an integral part of our students learning and leisure activities. However, as would expect, this access must be tightly controlled and monitored to ensure that all users (staff and service users) and of course our business data is effectively protected. To achieve this, we recently worked with Netmetix on an advanced firewall project to enhance our standard Anti-Virus set-up which we believed wasn’t up to the job given the burgeoning cyber threat. In the last 24 days, WatchGuard has blocked 2,258 viruses, the URL filter has declined 1 in 10 requests and the APT Blocker has detected 711 threats. That’s 711 attachments that could have potentially taken our network down. Categorically I can say that without the new solution we would have missed these threats to our network and potential disaster could have struck at any time.
The products and services that Netmetix have provided my business over the past 4 years have made my IT and telecoms management simple and seemless. All businesses struggle at some point with systems, outsourcing my IT and phones to Netmetix has taken away the headache and allowed me and my team to focus on growing our business. I cannot recommend them highly enough, the service is second to none.
For me, they’re offering a managed service and it’s a prime example of what a managed service should be. The customer gives the client the requirements, the client proposes various options and we work collaboratively to discuss the pros and cons and how we should work together. They do what they say they’re going to do. They provide us with confidence and we know we’re spending our money wisely, with them.
The Trust has been very impressed with Netmetix’s offering over the past year. It has been a very good start to our working relationship and it has been reassuring to be working with a new supplier that knows the ins and outs of the Cloud. Their extensive knowledge has meant that they have always been able to provide a definitive answer to our questions and advice on where we should go next in terms of our IT infrastructure project, and how we can add additional resilience to our services. Notably, we looked at several other cloud providers during the tender process but Netmetix took the time to really understand the needs of our schools and considered our budget. Our end goal is to have all schools using Azure, as this is where we can see further costs savings being made.
