Finley Structures Limited was formed in August 2000 and is a family owned company providing structural steelwork to the construction industry.
Our premises are based on the Newton Aycliffe Business Park, this providing a central location and flexibility to supply the whole of the country.
Whilst providing a wide range of structural solutions, the company specialises in the production of portals, trusses, beams and columns.
In 2008 over one million pounds was invested in our production facility with a second saw and drill line and robotic coping line as well as an SA2.5 shot blast facility; the investment was approved and undertaken by the Board of Directors to manufacture in excess of 250 tonnes of steel per week to meet increasing demand as the customer base grows.
Students from Durham University enjoyed a tour of Finley Structures recently.
Eleven first year engineering students, who are all 19, were given a tour at our factory on Aycliffe Business Park as part of their “hands on” week with nearby training provider South West Durham Training (SWDT).
Finley Structures regularly welcomes students and local schools into its factory.
SWDT’s Business Development Manager Kate Chapman added: “As part of our ongoing partnership with Durham University, 150 students come to us for a week to get practical experience in the workplace.
