This enforcement role provided the opportunity to demonstrate a pro-active approach to influencing Health & Safety in a diverse range of businesses, ranging from small or medium-sized enterprises to large multi-site organisations seeking to implement a structured approach to Health & Safety management.
In 1997, Neil left HSE to join industry fulfilling several senior management roles within the former ‘Rover Group’ before joining Carillion plc in January 2004 as their Director of Safety and Sustainability and championing its business-wide Health & Safety strategy 'Target Zero'.
In February 2007, he left Carillion to establish Integrated Safety Ltd, a consultancy specifically aimed at helping businesses improve their management of workplace Health & Safety.
