With quality assurance being at the forefront of our business and essential in our provision of wholesome, drinking water, it is essential that we keep inline with British standard water regulations. These are the current accreditations that we as a business follow, giving you the piece of mind that you are receiving the high quality water and service that your are expecting.
Festivals and events are a recurring feature of the British summer and as the leading temporary water supply company in the country, Water Direct services many different types of events.
Organisers are increasingly aware of their obligations and the necessity to provide wholesome drinking water, with the British Standard (
) recently revised specifically to provide improved guidance, stating that:
Where possible drinking water should be provided from a mains supply, but where this is not available, an alternative quality assured water supply should be used
Water Direct has the experience, expertise and dedicated drinking water equipment to ensure provision of a complete, quality assured service to any event. Customers can rest assured that the water supply will be fully compliant with these current standards which were embraced by Water Direct over a decade ago.
Following the initial flush through, the system is filled to capacity with a chlorinated solution (minimum 50mg/l strength) which will remain for a minimum of 1 hour. After this contact period has been achieved, Water Direct technicians will neutralise the chlorinated solution and dispose of it safely, flushing the system through again with clean water to remove any residual traces of chlorine.
