Foster Industrial is the Uk's longest established distributor of welding equipment and consumables and celebrates 130 years in business this year.
Founded in 1886 by Joseph Foster, as coal merchants, it remains a thriving family firm with fourth generation great grandsons, Richard & Charles commanding the helm for over 25 years.
The business now supplies welding equipment & consumables to over one thousand nationwide customers, whilst making daily gas cyllnder deliveries to it's East Midlands client base.
With an ambitious growth strategy in mind, Foster Industrial moved to a 15,000 square foot distribution centre & gas cylinder hub near Loughborough in 2011, positioning itself in the heart of the East Midlands. With 50% extra floor space, increased stock levels & a enhanced management team, the business has gone from strength to strength, growing nearly two fold since the move.
The launch of the Foster own brand premium welding products was a pivotal moment for the firm in terms of it's presence in the market place, whilst an investment of over £100,000 in delivery vehicles illustrates that service is the cornerstone of it's business. With the market leaning more & more toward online purchase, Foster has recently enhanced it's e-commerce capability with the addition of advanced product search & one stop checkout, making purchasing quicker and more convenient than ever.

Air Products Gases
Now over 50 years on, we reside as Air Product's longest established supplier of industrial gases in the United Kingdom, supplying a range of innovative gases & technically advanced cylinders to East Midlands industry, from our Shepshed facility based near Loughborough.
With two purpose built 18 tonne gas delivery trucks capable of palletised loading and quick turnaround, we deliver around 2500 a month to local business. Clients are also welcome to collect.
Recent advances in Air Product's IT infrastructure allow live stock replenishment & top up deliveries to Foster Industrial's yard stock, meaning our customers can be serviced on a immediate basis. We stock Air Product's industry standard gas mixtures such as; Argon, Cougar, Carbon dioxide, Helium, Nitrogen, Acetylene, Oxygen & Propane.
