Horizon Leisure Products Limited was founded in 1999 by Russell. J. Brown & Matt Forward. Having both worked in the sports, ski & outdoor markets they resolved one Christmas Eve to start their own company and to specialise in the production of socks.
As the Horizon range increased and the distribution became more widespread so did Horizon’s reputation for making quality socks. Soon Horizon was teaming up with established, world renown brands who wanted distribution in the UK. It wasn’t long before major brands, department stores & high street retail chains came to Horizon for help developing their own bespoke sock ranges. Many of these collaborations have continued to this day and still make a significant contribution to the company’s performance and development.
The quality of Horizon socks has now spread far and wide and are distributed and sold in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, Taiwan, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Russia & Greece. Every year the company attends the OutDoor trade show in Freidrichshafen, Germany to meet existing and new customers & distributors.
A move in to fashion & leisure socks has been a natural progression following the work Horizon has done as a commercial partner for the Help for Heroes charity. The company now offers over 100 different fashion sock designs and is regularly commissioned to make special lines and promotional gifts for major corporations and events.
