OR3D have offices in two locations in the United Kingdom. With offices in Bristol and Chirk, OR3D are able to provide efficient, client oriented support for the products and services they provide. Multiple locations also ensure OR3D can be on site and react to client requests faster.
The Chirk office is set in the grounds of the Brynkinalt Business Estate which offers a relaxed setting for training courses, meetings and on-site demonstrations. Out of the Chirk office, OR3D provides the majority of it’s support, looking after clients in the UK and the rest of the world.
We are able to scan objects of any size from the smallest mechanical parts to whole buildings.
Using the sub-millimetre scanner we are able to capture the geometry to an accuracy of +-0.06mm. When scanning large objects, we can achieve +-2mm
CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. CAD models are the finished product in a design process, they are virtual models of the object which is used for 3D Printing, recording a digital record of a design, re-design or manufacture.
Are you able to work with data I provide you?
Yes, if you have previously had your product scanned or own a laser scanner, we are able to work from a point cloud or mesh data provided to us by yourselves to create a CAD model.
We are able to supply you with CAD or Mesh models in a variety of formats. We prefer to supply the ‘dumb’ CAD model as a Parasolid format but we can also use IGES or STEP as other generic formats.
OR3D are now nominated as the main UK maintenance partner to work directly with 3DSystems and Geomagic. OR3D are also the only authorised UK training partner. As such OR3D can offer all of the Geomagic Software and Hardware solutions.
